This passive Dueltek VGA Balun pair allows for a VGA video signal to be transmitted via Cat5e or CAT6 twisted pair Ethernet Cable. A shielded Cat5e or CAT6 cable is recommended if you are going to connect a laptop. The shield is required to properly ground the VGA signal whenever the equipment does not have a built-in 3-prong power plug.

The Dueltek VGA Balun is a more cost-effective and versatile cabling solution than costly and bulky VGA cable.

The Dueltek VGA Balun transmits RGB video, horizontal and vertical synchronization pulses and works in conjunction with PC, VGA splitters, VGA signal extenders, laptops, and VGA monitors and LCD projector screens.

When using the Dueltek VGA Balun, it is recommended to keep the resolution set to 1024x768 or lower for best performance. Interference from lights or other electrical cables will not be a problem; however wiring should be kept away from fluorescent lighting ballasts and power cable as specified in the EIA/TIA cabling standards.
