Next IP Distribution launches new Aastra 51i SIP telephone in Australia
The introduction of the new 51i SIP telephone with embedded XML browser extends one of the most complete VoIP telephone offerings in the industry
Sydney, 11 December 2007 - Next IP Distribution today announced that it has expanded its Aastra 5i Series of SIP telephones with the launch of the 51i. The addition of this smartly featured single line IP phone means end-users will now have access to one of the most complete portfolio offerings of SIP desktop and wireless phones in the industry.
The 51i is designed to meet the demand for a value priced entry level SIP phone. It is ideally suited for light use in small and medium business, or institutional applications such as lobbies, common areas or single user environments. Featuring a sleek and elegant design, LCD display screen and full duplex speakerphone with excellent voice clarity, it delivers an excellent mix of value and performance in an enterprise grade quality IP phone.

The Aastra 51i is equipped with advanced XML capability allowing access to customised services and applications. With, for example, internet access, this feature can provide a direct access to news RSS feeds from the telephone display. The XML browser can also offer unlimited potential to create custom menus or specific actions for conference manager, directory and even vertical applications.
