Hard Drive Repair
I would like to point out here that in a world of trying to save the planet it would be a consideration to have hard drives repaired instead of thinking of the alternative throwing it into the bin.
The main concern is the data the drive holds first and foremost.
Here at CBL we do not repair a drive to be returned in working order- we find that once a drive fails it would be better to start with a new drive then a drive that has potential to fail by proven record. We have to for a physically damaged drive get this drive to a state of working order so that we can mirror the data from that original drive to another drive.
The clean room works under warranty stickers for your drives and with a letter from the technician on company letter head those drives can be returned for warranty **some conditions apply.
The concern of all end users is for the safety of their data. So the questions for all customers would be will a refurbished drive be as reliable as a new one? You might question the recovery technician and see what he advises at the time of the data recovery. If the drive is just starting to fail there may have been read errors created but the next step would be the read / write heads failing totally.
