Interaktiv1 has today started a focused and collaborative community of practice dedicated to bringing together a number of software distribution channels throughout Australia. The idea initially is to have a small number of likeminded organisations pool their resources, talents and efforts in order to develop profitable and self sustaining business opportunities within the Australian market. Interaktiv1 believe that ChannelPoint is the perfect interactive and real time platform to allow this community to meet and exchange its ideas and develop its concepts.
Interaktiv1 the creators of Local Subsidiary®, a service designed to bring foreign software vendors into the Australian market and provide them with a fast and cost effective method of gaining a rapid start and consolidated market share; believe that ChannelPoint is the perfect platform for empowering a group of this kind. “The rich Web 2.0 facilities that ChannelPoint have developed provide the perfect environment for businesses to meet, work and collaborate in a secure real time manner to develop business opportunities.” Stated CEO George Kaponay.
The objective of our group is to build sustainable and ongoing opportunities for existing distribution channels within the Software industry in Australia that are not constantly commoditised by price based erosion. We believe that each distributor has its own unique value add and when these ideas are combined and focused, the potential exists to achieve some very profitable and powerful outcomes. Interaktiv1 believe that channel conflict based on poorly managed territories and price wars is not only damaging to the overall wellness of the industry, but also non sustainable. “Initially the group will be by invite only and we have targeted a small group of focused distributors who have similar business interests.” Stated Kaponay. “We will be focusing our efforts on distributors that supply solutions focusing on Network Monitoring and Internet Security, Identity Management and Email Archiving Solutions. We are not however closing the group entirely and would consider expressions of interest from distributors in this space that believe that they would have something valuable to contribute.” Kaponay added.
We will be looking to launch the group’s initial gathering in the first week in October with a focused effort to have our initial achievements ready for launch in the early December timeframe.
